Simon W | 2017 Rioja Crianza, Sancho Garces, Bodegas Patrocinio
This excellent Rioja, which tastes more like a Reserva, had an outing a few months ago and I need to bring it to your attention once more. This is a really delicious Rioja, I like the style of this wine and other good Riojas because their taste has a unique style of vanilla, not found in any other wine produced in the world.
Tasting note - Has a deep dark red colour to it with a slight meniscus but given that this wine is over 6 years old it is not surprising. On entry, vanilla notes with ripe red berry fruit and a good balance of acidity and ripe tannins.
