Brut Rosé, Billecart-Salmon
For a Champagne house of this scale, Billecart-Salmon is renowned for many different styles from blanc de blancs to blanc de noirs as well as this superb brut rosé. The rosé is a real delight, with delicate, precise fruit with hints of wild strawberry and an elegant mousse. A fine, distinctive non-vintage rosé.
"Vivid, almost luscious strawberry aromas. Flecks of nutmeg and clove spice amid the lively, refreshing fruit on its slender, fresh body. A real joyful classic."

"Full bottle 1,664 g. 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier. The Pinot Noir comes predominantly from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and part of it is vinified as a red wine. Bright coppery pink. A pretty strawberries-and-cream nose that leads straight to raspberries galore in the mouth. Blood orange, too, with a suggestion of tamarind chutney. Frankly fruity and frankly delicious. The balance is just right for food in fact the wine was surprisingly good with a rich, slow-cooked pheasant red-wine casserole, and equally good with roasted tomato-and-courgette frittata the following day." Drink 2023-2025.
