The Mature Claret Mixed Case
In this mixed case you will receive four bottles each of the following wines;
2015 Château Tour Saint-Bonnet, Cru Bourgeois Médoc
Tour Saint-Bonnet is always classically styled, however the 2015 is particularly showy. Warm and expressive, with an inviting nose of red fruit, cedar, and spice. With every swirl of the glass, more and more secondary aromas emerge with subtle woodsmoke and roasted coffee. The palate shows just the right level of maturity, with savoury notes enhancing the autumn berry flavours. Soft tannins, with an appealing, layered finish.
2009 Château Perron, Graves Rouge
Sheer drinking pleasure that begins straight out of the glass with an ever-vibrant freshness on the nose - one redolent of that perfumed earthiness and flinty minerality that is the hallmark of fine Graves. Leafiness, liquorice and on the palate, silky,expansive, and bursting with 2009s ripeness: youthful, juicy black and red fruit that is energised by a sustained freshness and flecked by more peppery spice. Still full of well-balanced life. Mellowed, rounded tannins, with streaks of creamy minerality throughout that continue to a very clean, vibrant and lingering end. Classic Graves claret as it should be enjoyed - enjoyed now.
2016 Château de l'Hospital, Graves Rouge
Château de L'Hospital comes from a small château in the middle of the Graves appellation. Their vineyards lie on a clay and gravel topsoil with limestone underneath - a terroir that is much envied in Bordeaux as it produces a soft, rich wine with a touch of minerality. A soft, rich wine with a touch of minerality. The blend is 65% merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon with a touch of petite verdot, and the wine aged in oak for 12 months.
