2020 Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Guettes, Domaine A.F.Gros

Well-made reds from Savigny have performed outstandingly in this vintage, and as one would expect from a producer of this quality this is fully demonstrated in this lovely wine. From the premier cru vineyard adjacent to the Bois de Chenôve there is a warm, sun-kissed bouquet of ripe red fruit here, which is followed by a juicy, supple, medium-full mouthful of loveliness. With plenty of structure here to take it the distance, there is no hurry, but this will be delightful in less than a handful of years, and far beyond.
