The most accessible 1er Cru from the Domaine is the generous and almost opulent Fourneaux. The 2018 does not disappoint, with impressive volume and rich, sweet-scented fruit and perfectly balanced structure.

About the producer, Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard:
One of Savigny's oldest Domaines (1529) and where Jean-Jacques has been the sole proprietor since 1998. For JJ, the best wines are made in the vineyard, and so he focuses all effort on optimising the health and level of fruit quality his vineyards achieve. It is effort reflected in classic pinots that are delightfully supple and elegant.
