ABOUT THIS WINE
“The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin La Perrière 1er Cru is matured with 50% whole bunch. This has an earthy bouquet of potent woodland aromas, like walking through a forest on a damp October morning. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Good midpalate depth here, and a grippy finish, where white pepper, clove and spicy notes infuse the black fruit. Not immensely long, but this is all about the freshness and poise. Excellent.”
