2010 Chateau Montlandrie, Castillon, Denis Durantou
Denis Durantou's (Eglise-Clinet) second vintage.
"70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc aged in 50% new oak. The nose is very harmonious and pure with scents of strawberry cheesecake, fresh raspberry and a touch of spice. There is just a little reduction but it soon blows away. The palate is medium-bodied with very smooth, filigree tannins. There is a fine sense of symmetry to this wine, focused and long in the mouth, with a sensual dark cherry and bergamot tinged finish. Gorgeous.”
