2023 Mâcon Chardonnay, Domaine Talmard

Talmards Mâcon-Chardonnay is a delightfully pure, fresh and fruit-forward style of Burgundy. A fragrant nose of spring blossom and ripe citrus leads to a gentle, rounded palate with apple, peach, pear and melon flavours. Lightly creamy in texture with good intensity, appealing weight, and a crisp, fresh finish.

Paul Talmard began bottling and shipping his wines in 1978. Today, the domaine is run by Paul’s daughter Mallory and her husband Benjamin who tend 50 acres of vines around the communes of Chardonnay and Uchizy. The village of Chardonnay is widely believed to be where the grape variety of the same name originated.
