Located in La Morra with five tiny vineyards scattered amongst the Comuni of La Morra: Brunate, Boiolo, Case Nere, Fossati, Riserva, each at less than two hectares, and a sixth, Arione, a smaller parcel in Serralunga d'Alba. Over the last several vintages, the Boglietti family have been striving toward a greater vibrancy and earlier accessibility through significantly less use of new oak and a reduction in extraction, and oak ageing time. All Boglietti Barolos are bottled unfiltered.
This vintage is a bright ruby colour with a light orange hue and has an appealing, lifted bouquet of violet, rose and liquorice aromatics. The palate is rich, finely structured, bursting with dark cherry and spice, and carried by a dazzling current of acidity. This is the first release of Barolo del Comune di La Morra and is already drinking quite pleasantly.
