ABOUT THIS WINE
Read Critic Reviews

Although you many be tempted to look back on a summer that's swiftly drawing to a close, we thought it better that you be tempted by this effervescent offer on Champagne Courtois.

Give in to temptation, and you'll be set for a level of fizzy, autumnal drinking pleasure that would cost you twice as much with a grande marque champagne. And also knowing what wonderful fish and seafood options come into season at this time of year, stocking up on Champagne Courtois.

- Robin James, Head of Customer Experience, Mr.Wheeler.

Tasting Note
A classic regional blend of all three permitted varieties, pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay. The fine, persistent fizz releases delicate aromas of pear, quince and honeysuckle. The palate follows suit with flavours of baked apple, brioche and citrus notes with a delicate creamy finish. A genuinely terrific value champagne with no compromise in quality.

What do the critics think?
“It's way better than any false economy, BOGOF supermarket own-label champagne and is almost exactly half the price of the leading Grandes Marques. A Meunier-based blend, it?s fresh, fruity, honeyed and biscuity and if you don?t like it, you don?t like champagne.”
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator
“A lovely and eminently approachable, Pinot Meunier-dominated grower Champagne, based on the 2016 vintage, with 40% of reserve wine from 2015 in the blend. It has a golden colour and only 5.5g/l dosage, but the ripeness and softness of the mousse and fruit profile make this elegantly sippable. There is some biscuity toast, but there's plenty of mid-palate fruit and a well-balanced finish with zippy acidity giving good length.”
Tom Cannavan, leading critic of WINE-PAGES.COM
