2015 Château Mazeyres, Pomerol

"Mazeyres' vines are located on the sandy clay part of Pomerol and give a slightly lighter expression of those distinctive Pomerol tannins. This wine is a beautifully vibrant violet colour, with very pretty, soft, sweet fruit on the palate and extremely silky, almost languorous tannins which slide along. In a vintage where much of Pomerol is highly charged, this is sweetly soft, with a charge of tannin at the final furlong to remind you of its origins. Easily one of the best Mazeyres I've tasted young. Drink 2021-33."
