2020 Château Beaurivage, Minervois
"The 2020 Château Beaurivage Minervois produced by Belgian winemaker Pierre
Degroote at his Languedoc estate is bang
on song. A blend of Syrah, Grenache and
Carignan, it's invitingly floral on the nose with roses and ripe cherries, and deliciously
rewarding in the mouth with cherries, raspberries,
plums and spice. It's crazy value."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator
Regular summer barbeques will entice you through cases of this sumptuous, southern French red blend. Beaurivages bright, luscious, bramble-fruited Minervois is a textbook example of the fantastic value the Languedoc continues to offer. Here, lifted red berry notes, appealing warmth and hints of spice, and glowing with bold, expressive bramble fruit. Compelling, very moreish.
First tried this in December 2022. Thought it was good at the time but I would say it’s better now after a year in bottle. Drinking well now, great value.
