Suffolk ex-pat Chris Pask was first inspired to invest in the region, whilst flying his plane over the farmland west of Hastings, and noting how the regions soils were poorly suited to most crops, but perfect for grapes, which thrive in less fertile areas. 30 years later, Chris runs one of New Zealand's flagship wineries, with winemaking duties in the extremely capable hands of the highly regarded and multi-award winning Kate Radburnd.
