Boekenhoutskloof

Boekenhoutskloof is managed by a man who's name is rather easier to pronounce, Mark Kemp. Mark is known as something as a mad man amongst his peers, continually experimenting with unusual grape mixtures to create unique and interesting wines. He may have a very modern way of thinking but the winery where he is based can trace its roots back to the 18th Century when the French Hugenots first settled and started to cultivate vines. Things have moved on somewhat and today Mark enjoys the run of a very modern winery where he is continually experimenting with new blends. A recent development has been the introduction of a biodiversity program on the estate, making it one of the most ecologically diverse in the region.
