2020 Guidalberto, Tenuta San Guido, Tuscany
Not all little brothers are easy to get on with but this Guidalberto is great to have around - always. This is the second wine of Sassicaia, which was the original Super-Tuscan, and whilst the big brother can set you back nearly a tenner per sip (!), this is a far more attractive proposition. Rich dark fruit and spice, full bodied, but also with great class and elegance, this can be enjoyed now or over the next few years.
"The 2020 Guidalberto is taut and tight with plenty of tart cherry and wild berry. The wine offers great freshness and tension with bay leaf, spice, wild cherry and pressed lavender buds. There is a hint of black olive too. The blend is equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot."
