2022 Forager Red Blend, Western Cape

This blend of shiraz and grenache has been sourced from different vineyards, plots, barrels and batches - hence the name 'forager'. The nose is one of dark forest fruit with dried herbs, white pepper, cloves and leader. On the palate red berries and dark jam are primary with gentle vanilla oak flavours pushing through. The tannins are soft and supple and the finish is elegant and perfumed. Pair this wine with barbecued meat or hearty stews. Whilst enjoyable now this wine will reward cellaring for a further 5-6 years.
