2012 Pinot Noir, Angela Estate, Abbott Claim, Oregon
Rusty brick hue, cranberry and cherry fruit on the nose with perfumed, jammy nuances along with earthy, mushroom, and gamey aromas. Utterly classic, aged pinot. On the palate, rich, juicy red fruit with a certain meatiness and more hints of mushroom and game that lead to a long, juicy, elegant finish with a subtly cool, lingering saline streak. This wine is now where it should be.
