2015 Château Tour St-Bonnet, Médoc (magnum)

Château Tour Saint Bonnet has always been one of the Médoc's better properties: a fine cru bourgeois with plenty of left-bank style, making reds that have been enduringly popular with UK claret-lovers for many years.

So, hearing about a mature parcel available directly from the Château for a rather irresistible price, we jumped at the chance. First, however, although quite confident the 2015 would be good, we did of course order a sample for retasting. As expected, it was delicious, especially given its now-perfect stage of maturity: classy, characterful and a must for seasonal drinking.
