ABOUT THIS WINE

Translated loosely, Arneis, means "little rascal" and is a reference to its characteristic trait of being a hard variety to grow. However, as is often the case with the most challenging things the results are very much worth the effort. Arneis is primarily grown in the northern province of Piedmont where it produces an aromatic white with a wonderful crisp orchard mix of apples and pears.

A wine to be enjoyed young and fresh, the latest 2023 vintage is just the thing to get your summer dining started, be it with a salad, some shellfish, or a light creamy pasta dish.

Produced by the family owned Monchiero estate, who have been making wine since the 1950s, this is certainly my no.1 recommendation as your next new white wine to try.
Robin James, Mr.Wheeler Wine

Tasting Note
A delightful, characterful white from Piedmont. Delicate flavours of crisp green apples, a lovely hint of minerality and a refreshing finish. Something a little different, and hugely enjoyable.

COMPARISON BASKET COMPARE

As the description says something a little different, and all the better for that. Went very well with chicken and also pan fried white fish. Mrs B also likes it as an aperitif (when theres some left over from a lunch/dinner!).
