2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 'Vieillles Vignes', Domaine Sylvie Esmonin
"60% whole bunch fermentation. Rich purple with a darker centre. There is a volume of fruit here even on the nose which takes away the sharp edges. There is a very attractive weight of fruit on the palate with a jolly crunch of minerals behind. Round in the mouth. This works."
