Dried cherry and baked spices on the nose, medium bodied with dark cherry, red berry fruit and hints of spice and liquorice finishing with firm grippy tannins. Superb Chateauneuf du-Pape from this top producer.
2022 Chateauneuf-Du-Pape, Les Galets de La Berthaude
An 80-20 blend of grenache and syrah aged only in concrete, this is a Châteauneuf full of pretty raspberry and red cherry aromas. Full bodied and rich, it offers silky texture with flavours of damson, spiced plum and peppery spice on the palate.
2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Font du Vent, Famille Gonnet
Bouquet of red and black fruits (cherries, blackberries), notes of garrigue, liquorice and spices. A fine wine. All the beauty of this wine is revealed after letting it decant for at least an hour.
