2021 Chablis Premier Cru Les Fourneaux, Domaine Samuel Billaud

The 2021 Chablis Les Fourneaux ler Cru has a superb bouquet with scents of dried honey, wax resin and flinty aromas, powerful and very well focused. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, lovely salinity lending tension and persistence on the finish. As good a Fourneaux as you will find.

Côte de Pre-Girots. Pale lemon colour, the bouquet is not quite so fine as Vaillons but has class nonetheless. Fresh crisp white fruit with just a few mirabelles showing alongside. A softer finish but still with some clean kimmeridgian touches to finish. Indeed, the finish as well as being long has the classical style of Chablis
