2020 Chassagne Montrachet Blanc 1er Cru 'Les Morgeots', Domaine Bachey-Legros

A lovely pale, pure, golden glimmer in the glass, with gorgeous aromas of pear tart-tatin, butterscotch, a hint of tart pineapple, wood smoke and nougat rising effortlessly. 

On the palate forward notes of orchard fruit initially with a waft of nuttiness that gently evolves into pineapple, baked apple and pastry, with a creaminess and hint of citrus. 

As the freshening zest subsides, a warming blanket of toasty oak gently punctuates a sumptuous, lengthy, lingering finish. Superlative Chassagne expression.
