2018 Côte de Nuits-Villages Rouge, Domaine Sylvie Esmonin

An excellent mixture of natural ripeness, almost black fruit and a raspy and elegant texture, opened aromatics and fine-grain tannins. A very good Côte de Nuits bottling indeed.

About the producer, Domaine Sylvie Esmonin:
Located in the old part of Gevrey-Chambertin village, at the foot of the legendary Clos Saint-Jacques vineyard, and since 1988. Here the scrupulous Sylvie cultivates her 7 ha for her eponymous domaine, and where her deep vineyard knowledge and meticulous vinification techniques result in wines of maturity, intensity, and ageworthiness.
