Pinot Noir 2013, Moa Ridge, Marlborough

We were absolutely bowled over by the exuberance, class, and sheer drinkability of this delicious pinot. All that is best about New Zealand Pinot Noir is very evident here - there is certainly a nod to Burgundy, with the hallmark ethereal perfume and notes of spice and woodsmoke; but this is enhanced by the lusciousness of texture and vivid cherry, damson and blackberry fruit only found in the best kiwi pinots. Made from 15 year old vines from the famous Clayvin Vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand, the Moa Ridge Pinot has matured for 12 months in French oak.
