2022 Margaux
Ensure classic, Margaux-drinking pleasure for well under £30 a bottle this Christmas with Mr.Wheeler's declassified Margaux 2022 vintage. Here is unparalleled value for money that is all the easier to savour and gift this festive season.
Crafted by one of Margaux's finest estates, the 2022 offers all the hallmark richness, luscious red-and-dark fruit, sweet spice, silky tannins, and luxurious length youd expect from one of the worlds most sought-after appellations.
And indeed, all the sleek elegance and finesse the Spectators Jonathan Ray admires. Thats because this declassified 2022 is grand cru classé Margaux in all but label, where the only details missing are Châteaux and grand vin.
Behind which, far more voluptuous details are to be enjoyed in finely crafted, pedigree Margaux now drinking beautifully and more than able to spend the next decade in graceful maturation.
What does 'Declassified' mean?
Mr.Wheeler's close relationships with some of Bordeauxs most respected négociants means were offered occasional access to exclusive parcels of claret from ultra-prestigious estates. Parcels where you enjoy the same pedigree and expertise of the estates Grand Vin, but in wines made with vintage-surplus fruit and in bottles without their Grand Vin label on.
And when we say, ultra-prestigious estates, we mean just that. It's just that we cant disclose which one. This is how we keep the price so low.
