Sourced from 70-to 80-year-old vines from around the Pommard area, this is an outstanding example of the relatively new “superior” Bourgogne rouge appellation of Côte d’Or. It is big and forward with powerful toasted cherry fruit, yet with an underlying delicate structure of real class. Undoubtedly a heavyweight in lightweight territory. Not to be missed.
