2019 Selección de Parcelas Cabernet Sauvignon, Penedo Borges, Mendoza
This is a bold, expressive cabernet which certainly packs a punch, but also has admirable freshness and poise. Pronounced, warm, sweet cassis, with luscious, plump texture and velvet-soft tannins. Rich, dark and profound, whilst also with an appealing leafy, minty, perfumed character.
Reviews:
"Two micro-parcels on different soil types are the source of this well-made Cabernet Sauvignon from Juan Manuel González and Jorge Correa. Focused, elegant and stylishly wooded in 50% new barrels, with cassis and bramble fruit, detailed tannins and a long finish. 2023-29."

"Aromas of ripe dark fruit, vanilla, licorice, cigar box and walnuts. Medium-to full-bodied with fine tannins and bright acidity. Layers of ripe berries and dark chocolate with hints of tobacco. Firm finish with an earthy touch to it. A little old-school. Big and rich. Try from 2023."
