ABOUT THIS WINE
Read Critic Reviews

The Boglietti winery was established in 1991, and remains a family-run business to this day. Originally only 2.5 hectares, the estate has grown with its owner’s reputation and now boasts an impressive 21 hectares all held in prime La Morra sites. The winery is overseen by Enzo, whilst father Renato and brother Gianni tend to the vineyards. This relatively youthful winery came to prominence largely thanks to Enzo Boglietti’s progressive wine making approach, with his stylish and modern Barolos now world renowned for their bold, dark and intense nature. Enzo has an unfailing focus with the skill and passion to capture the broad and concentrated richness of La Morra in every bottle.

Artfully crafted with a dusting of new oak, Enzo creates unforgettable, world class wines which deserve patience. With such emphasis on fruit origin and quality, together with the noble attributes of each vineyard holding and the environment in which the estate operates; from the 2017 vintage every Enzo Boglietti wine will be organically certified. From Dolcetto d’Alba right through to the great Cru of Barolo Brunate, Enzo produces prodigious, powerful, yet approachable, soulful wines. He is without doubt one of the world’s greatest wine making talents.

What do the critics think?
“...from one of Piedmont’s finest producers, is another beauty. It’s young still, with a touch of tannin, but enjoy it with truffle risotto or veal chop and the ripe red berry and sour cherry flavours will flood to the fore and you’ll do nothing but smile.”
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
