2020 'Moordenaarskloof' Tinta Barocca, Dornier, Swartland
Tina Barroca is a Portugese red grape which is usually planted in the Douro region. However, in the last few decades it has had great success with plantings in South Africa and Australia. Dornier's expression comes from The Golden Triangle area of the upper Blaauwklippen Valley in Stellenbosch. It is dark in colour and full bodied with intense raspberry, mulberry and aromatic spices. Fine grained tannins accompany the plethora of concentrated fruit. Pair with grilled or braised meat and game dishes.
