Fine, mature Barolo with its deep, complex character is always rather special, and when by the talented hand of maverick winemaker Enzo Boglietti its ever more so.
Enzo has three distinct vineyards sited around the Barolo commune in Piedmont from which he sources nebbiolo for his award-winning wines, and today we're bringing you a special mixed case of 2009 vintage single-vineyard wines from his Fossati, Casa Nere and Arione sites. Each with its individual character and charm and drinking beautifully.
Now with almost fifteen years of age, these are perfectly poised to deliver immediate drinking pleasure. The 2009 harvest was significantly reduced in the wake of a cooler summer, yet with meticulous grape selection and in the skilled winemaking hands of Enzo Boglietti they have produced some beautiful wines indeed. The resulting wines will be greatly enjoyed by lovers of fine Barolo.
