2022 Les Clans, Château d'Esclans, Côtes de Provence (magnum)
The epitome of sophistication in a food-driven rosé made from grenache and rolle (vermentino) and interestingly, one that has been fermented and slightly aged entirely in large French oak barrels. Les Clans also distinguishes itself from other rosés given its remarkable potential to age; and while being rich, exotic and full-bodied, it never fails to show supreme elegance.
The Stradivarius of rosé wine, you could say. Les Clans sings quality, and when blind-tasted, is easily mistaken for a decent white burgundy or Condrieu. As such, it's the perfect pairing with indulgent dishes like Dover sole and lobster.
