Une Belle Histoire, Domaine de la Jasse, Languedoc

Well wouldn't you know it? After what is best described as a fully underwhelming summer, the sun finds its hat and comes out to play - just in time for the start of school, of course.

So, with a week of glorious sunshine on the cards, Ive since ensured my chillers full of La Belle Histoire, Domaine de La Jasse's sensational new thirst-quencher. I strongly you recommend you do, too.

Simply because La Belle Histoire (A Beautiful Story) is tantalizingly crisp, fresh, zippy white that is perfect for a blazing day. Its also something different. Different because its made from 100% of the southern French grape variety rolle (a.k.a. vermentino) and has the added curiosity of an ever-so-subtle, invigorating spritz of pétillance. This is why it positively sings on your palate with the refreshing flavours of fresh pear, apple and white peach, finishing long and dry. Undoubtedly one for summer, La Belle Histoire is also a choice for the start of any meal or occasion - or maybe just because its Thursday!
