"The 2019 Domaine de Mourchon Séguret Tradition Côtes du Rhône Villages is a seriously grown-up red from one of the Rhône Valleys most admired producers. It's soft, it's smooth and it's spicy. It's rich and intense, too, blended from Grenache, Syrah and Carignan and, although ready to go, has plenty of life ahead."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
From one of the southern Rhônes hidden gems, and the best estate in Séguret. The Tradition is rich and dark with brambly fruit and spice with a wonderfully lengthy finish. Châteauneuf in style, but with a lovely freshness too. Ready to drink, but cellar easily for 5 more years.
Domaine de Mourchon is one of the Rhône Valleys true stars, highly rated by our customers as well as leading wine journalists throughout the world - Jancis Robinson is a fan (My favourite, certainly in terms of value, is usually the Tradition.), and Robert Parker has awarded the McKinlay family's wines some impressive scores (90-92 points).
Critic Reviews (previous vintage):
"The 2017 Cotes du Rhone Villages Seguret Tradition is full-bodied, creamy and lush in the mouth, yet it remains lively, energetic and long on the finish. It's dark-fruited and spicy, with hints of mocha, clove and allspice that linger on the finish. The assemblage is 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Carignan. Drink 2018-2024."
90-92 points, The Wine Advocate
"My favourite, certainly in terms of value, is usually the Tradition, the Côtes du Rhône-Villages, Séguret that seems to me to be an excellent buy for a wine that is ready to drink when released but usually improves over two to four years in bottle, depending on the vintage."

Excellent wine. I had some i had stored for about 10 years which i had bought at the vineyard and it had improved. it was smooth, full of flavour and a great drink . i will store this for at least 5 years before opening.
Absolutely spot on. A great wine in a great vintage.
Full bodied and rounded. Lovely wine.
A quality Rhone. Benefits from opening at least 1 hour before drinking. I hope this vintage remains in stock for the foreseeable future.
