2019 'Julius' Riesling, Henschke, Eden Valley
Pale straw with lime-green hues. Incredibly fragrant aromas of finger lime, grapefruit pith, lime juice, citrus zest, bergamot oil and white florals with undertones of green peppercorn and white currant. The palate is pure and bright with flavours of citrus, stone fruit and guava, beautifully balanced by steely minerality and a clean sweep of fresh acidity providing power, concentration and a long, precise finish.
"Subtle shadings of toasted grain accent pineapple and white nectarines in the 2018 Croft Chardonnay. All barrel fermented (typically in around 15% new oak), this is a medium to full-bodied, plump, generous wine in the mouth, with a fine, silky texture and lingering suggestions of pencil shavings and citrus on the finish. It should drink well for at least another five years, and possibly longer. 2020-2025."
