Brut Tradition, Champagne Michel Guilleminot
With overwhelming December demand having cleared out our Champagne Guilleminot stocks completely, good news for the empty-handed is that corks will pop again. A joyful purity of terroir expression captured by these récoltants manipulants producers who source from their own vineyards to vinify themselves the wines they blend into such unique, authentic cuvées.
In their 'Tradition', 100% pinot noir in a 100% handcrafted, grower champagne effervescent with all the freshness, floral and citrus aromas and intensity of flavour to account for its enduring popularity.
...just because I love it so much and can't stop myself banging on about it, we've the Champagne Michel Guilleminot Tradition Blanc de Noirs NV. 100 per cent Pinot Noir aged for three years on the lees, it's in glorious shape - with the gentlest of mousses and full of toast, brioche, honey and cream. Really lovely champagne. Tastes way more expensive than it is. Rivals some good vintage champagnes. Love the label too.
My favourite champagne, not a lover of some chardonay champagnes.
What a treat! Bought for my self-isolated birthday; it lasted me three days and kept its fizz throughout. "It fizzes and bubbles/And banishes troubles" (Nol Coward).
